Absolute best fish fry and service in the north woods!!! Great authentic supper club. Had the blue gill, and all you can eat fish fry. I'll be back this Friday!!!

Service was very friendly all around. Nice lake view. The salad had crisp lettuce and was a good size. The main course was uninteresting. The steak was cooked right but the meat was not of high quality. The mashed potatoes were suspected to be instant potatoes :( Country music isn't my thing, but I'm not picky. The food quality could be stepped up.

Great food and great people. Walleye and prime rib are favorites.

The garlic encrusted pork ribeye is delicious. Prime rib was good, wished they had some veggie sides( broccoli, asparagus, etcetera). Good key lime pie, nice setting, walk down to the lake

Classic north woods supper club. Great atmosphere, with friendly service. The food was exactly what I would expect from a supper club. Nice change of pace from suburb dinning. I definitely see myself coming back the next time I am in the area.

Clearview is a standard Northwoods Supper Club which is convenient from a lot of the different lodging options on Big Saint Germain Lake such as Lofty Pines where I stay sometimes. They make a nice cocktail and have a large, if strangely set up and underutilized bar area, in addition to a restaurant space with old school décor with a fairly nice view. I usually go on Friday's for the fish fry which is quite good and very reasonably priced - it's clearly frozen fish but it's cooked well at Clearview and comes with some nice enough sides so you have a tasty meal for under $10. I got a steak one time and it was not great so if you go with the more basic options you'll have an enjoyable Northwoods meal. Let's be honest, nobody in the area is doing, fresh seasonal cuisine so just go with the flow, don't expect anything too fancy, and complement your meal with an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or some other classic cocktail. That's how you gotta roll in the Northwoods and Clearview does it pretty well. (FYI, they don't accept American Express but that's fairly standard for the Northwoods)

Old school supper club on a lake with a northwoods feel. Decent menu selection with appetizers and dinner entrees. Large separate bar area with nice waiting area and coat room. I had the bacon wrapped water chestnuts and tenderloins with onions and mushrooms. Mine was a very good meal. Another in our party had oriental chicken stir fry which was good. BBQ ribs left something to be desired according to another in our party. Not fall off the bone as stated by the waitress. Small kids menu available too. All in all, nice ambience and good food that is worth a try.

Classic Wisconsin supper-club style bar/restaurant. The service here is very friendly and prompt. Love the bar, even if it's a little tight in there at times. The bartenders are very friendly and seems most everyone at the bar is drinking an Old Fashioned. I would like to see them up the ante when it comes to quality and taste of food. We've only gone for the fish fry, and they need to work on their breading/flavor, and not over sauce their coleslaw. Rye bread is great, as are the potato pancakes made with chives. If they can improve on the fish fry (though the selection is nice - haddock, blue gill, baby walleye, or shrimp fry), we'd be regulars when up north.

Great food - great old Northwoods charm! We took the back roads out and ended up at Cathy's place for ice cream. Another must-do in St. Germain!

I have been a customer for over 30 years, from both a restaurant and staying at one of their cottages. On Big St. Germain lake, you can't beat their location but for the price the food should be better. I will try again in 2014 and hope things are improved.
